2D vs 3D

Is apparently a mental phenomenon wherein the digital images receives by the brain result on how we view the picture. For my easier understanding, 3D (three-dimensional) is like viewing an image pop-up from the paper, while 2D (two dimensional)is viewing the image as it is on the paper.

Personally, I prefer watching "two-dimensional" movies nowadays since current films cannot utilize the the proper usage for the "three-dimensional".

Bourne to lead, Bourne to Succeed

The Bourne Legacy poster

BOURNE LEGACY

"In the fourth installment of the Bourne Film Series, a new Hero comes to take place. As a genetically-enhanced soldier, relaying in medicines to survive, he is soon faced to its own super team unit termination and he is determined to survive it"

Popcorn says:   This movie is simply fascinating, from the point of his survival, to his everyday struggle to find the Lady Doctor and the thrilling fighting scenes that simply takes your breath away. Really, the fighting scenes are awesome!  But the part that struck to me the most is how Alex and the Lady Doctor fell in love seen in the last scene. All the time they were on the run and there weren't enough time to develop a relationship and it simply fascinates me to no end on the "HOW".

Adventurous, Spirited and Confident Red Haired Lass

BRAVE

"Born as a princess into the royal ruling lords, Merida is expected to act as lady in the court. But this spitfire has more energy than her mother and father combined as she fights for her own destiny and ends up losing control over everything."

Popcorn says:   One of my favorite movies, I simply idolizes Merida.  She is someone who every rebellious teenagers faced, a strict mother. It was shown as a 3D film that has one distinctive 3D effect, such a shame in a good movie. Besides, I have a penchant for archery, medieval age and red curly locks. My answer may be biased but it is my own critic to this movie.

Time Jump. Literally.

MEN IN BLACK 3

" The comical duo is back for more alien-smashing-shooting fun! Yet a former enemy holds a grudge and lurks in the shadows, binding his time. But when K's suddenly disappears from J's side, he know something is wrong, but he didn't expect the attack would cause a future without his agent buddy."

Popcorn says:   This is a tear-jerker. It reveals the whys and hows between J and K's relationship. But this is not "Yaoi" or Boy's Love" or "Pedophile", I repeat, no romance revolving in that nature. It seem like family love,  no more, no less. Also, one of my favorite scenes is Time Jump,  you should watch out for this scene, its innovating.

Greek Mythology: Wrath

THE WRATH OF THE TITANS

"Sequel to the movie Clash of the Titans, Persues lives with his son Hellius in a fisherman's village to live away from the fighting. Yet Persues once again was called to fight as Kronus rises to power, the father of the current triumvate rulers of sky, seas and the dead."

Popcorn says:   All in all, I find this movie a good watch with good story, good setting, and good effects. But you have to watch the "Clash" before the "Wrath".

Greek Mythology: The Clash

Clash of the Titans Movie

CLASH OF THE TITANS

"A movie reenactment of the Greek demigod hero Persues. From a mere fisherman raised by his adopted parents to the hero exclaimed by the Gods themselves. By defeating the mighty Kraken and the fearsome Medusa, Persues, he fought for revenge instead of honor of the Olympian Gods."

Popcorn says:  I find this film rather confusing, as to why Persues fights. He at first, fights for vengeance, for the death of his adopted parents who were collateral damage in the fury unleashed by the Olympian Gods; with Zeus granting permission to Hades to do so. Then next thing you know,  Zeus pratically sides with his son on his fight against his brother Hades. Soon, Persues was exclaimed by the Gods for his victory against his foes, offering godhood to him. Poor Kraken, Poor Medusa and Poor Hades, you were used as pawns of Zeus.

Follow Uncle Ben's Words

Chronicle Film

CHRONICLE

Popcorn says:   This is a very surprising movie, a thriller and action rolled into one. It showcases the life of an average of a normal teenager, and when emotion ran high, they do things they have never done before. Like suicide. However, given supernatural powers, they take matters into there own hands. I suggest that Steve, Matt and Andrew watch Spiderman first before wreaking havoc with new-found abilities.

The Childhood Fairytale

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Charlize Theron) out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White's beauty and power. -- (C) Universal Pictures

Popcorn says:   I don't know if its me being biased, but I have to say, personally, I found the movie not meeting its potential. I don't dislike Kristen Stewart like most of the population though ( I believe it in the Movie "Twilight"), its just throughout the story, Snow White didn't act like a...rebellious princess. She faces all obstacles with a nonchalant attitude, and shouts if the story gets dramatic.  However, the other characters: the Huntsman and Queen played their roles splendidly and the plot and story played out magnificently.  If not for them, I might not even like the movie.

Further Explanation

There are different movie genres; all independently unique yet dependently requires another to create a successful film. Let’s start by stating the obvious, shall we?

1) Action – This are all guns and miraculously not being hit during a gun fight, punches and blows, bombs and explosion – take your pick.

2) Adventure – If you notice that there is a connection between scenes after scene, it more likely it is an “adventure” genre.

3) Biography – I have never seen a “biography genre”, maybe it’s the same as its book counterpart?

4) Crime – Crime. First thing comes to mind is Batman. Just guess what it means.

5) Drama - Tears. Tears. And more tears. It definitely loves the ladies.

6) Fantasy - My personal favorite. If not for this, I would not be alive.

7) Horror – It thrives on your fears and aims to to create nightmares.

8) Musical – If you hear the Hero/Heroine singing more than enough times, it most likely fall in the “musical genre”.

9) Romance – Another lady killer. Women basically thrive on this.

10) War – If it has guns more than you can count, explosions everywhere and bullets flying when hundreds of men flee, well, that’s what I picture what “war” is.

11) Adult - Don’t even view this is you’re not an adult, between the ages 18 to 21! Thinking your mature doesn't count! Save your Innocence before its too late!

12) Animation - It always amazes me how artists catch human nature in a continuous moving art. Literally.

13) Comedy – If you laughing you heart out or till your stomach starts hurts or tears begins to form or you’re on the hitting your fist again and again. That’s what I do during a "comedy genre"

14) Documentary – If you see scenes that is actually happening in real life and focuses on a topic rather than a person, hurrah! That’s a “documentary”

15) Family – I prefer to call this child-friendly. No kisses, no gore, no screaming your heads out; just sickly sweet happily ever after.

16) History – This is definitely much, much better than any history book. If tests were made from this, I would have a perfect score every single time.

17) Mystery – If it boggles your mind and makes you think you are so stupid after every intellectual discovery.

18) Science Fiction- It’s basically what our future supposed to be, but I would be dead before any of it happens in real life.

19) Sport - This never appealed to me, a bunch of guys or gals sweating isn’t really that attractive.

20) Thriller - It makes you scream. Surprises you of the unexpected and aims for the weak-willed to wet their pants.

21) Western - Good ‘ol West. Just look for horses if you are not sure.

As you have noticed, any of my explanation does not make a concrete concept of any of the mentioned genre. Just saying.
